In 2002, over six million people visited Wyoming's national parks and monuments.
The key tourist attractions in Wyoming include Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Devil's Tower National Monument, and Fossil Butte National Monument. Each year Yellowstone National Park receives three million visitors.
Also enjoy the beautiful Bear River valley about halfway between Salt Lake City, Utah and Rock Springs.
Evanston is just minutes away from many seasonal recreational opportunities, from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter, to boating, fishing, and hiking in the summer.
Our Trip through Wyoming
In the Fall of 2012, we drove through Wyoming's beautiful countryside on the way to Seattle, WA and made a video. We called it "4 day trip in 4 minutes."
So, it was a 2 day drive there for us from Eastern South Dakota, and 2 days back.
We drove the southern route, Interstate 80 most of the way through Wyoming, (since it was so close to winter), and then took Interstate 84 north outside of Salt Lake City. Very nice and scenic drive. But don't stop there! Try to get off of the Interstate for awhile, and take some Scenic Byways.
